#755 - Food As Motivation #47 - Tian Kee & Co.

This was on the day of Christmas exchange w cousins. Met up w Pei Wen before that and we decided to head to a cafe nearby for a quick bite since we are gonna be in the Northeast area. Chose Tian Kee & Co. because everyone has been instagramming its pretty rainbow cheesecake and we would love to try it for ourselves.

To be honest, I was a little shocked that Tian Kee & Co. looks like this. It wasn't the usual typical kind of cafe, with good lightings, airconditioned and all. It was very old school (reminds me of those bakery) and the chairs and tables gave this 90s feel.

See what I meant?
My house actually have such similar chairs too, still function lolol.

Interesting fact printed on the waiting number placecard! We went to visit the lift in the estate and it was really very cool to see those small little buttons!

Iced Very Berry (SGD6)
This shade of purple! *smirks* It's actually Ribena and Milk, a really interesting combination. What does it taste like?? Hmm, just like Ribena and Milk. Hahaha. I don't think it is worth this price to be honest.

Tian Kee Eggs Royale (SGD14.90)
Of course I had to order this hehe.

What makes this dish different from that of the usual Eggs Royale is that, instead of hollandaise sauce, they use Nacho cheese!! It's the same kind as Long John Silver's, so I am not complaining! :D I like it that they are generous w the amount of nacho cheese. Other than that, they used sunny side-ups instead of poached eggs. But everything tasted well together.

Rainbow Cheesecake (SGD7.50)
The star of the cafe, the pastel shades are just too pretty! The cheesecake, unlike that of the usual ones, has a tofu-like texture e.g. when lightly moved, will shake/jiggle. It's a little too cheesy and my cousin and I struggled to finish it because it started getting a little too jelat. Best to share this I guess.

This cafe has no service charge or gst so all prices are nett. Would I be back? Perhaps, I'd like to try the other desserts they have, but only if I am near that area.

And here's the lift at their estate! It was very small.

And yup, these are the lift buttons mentioned in the placecard. Damn cool? I like to see this kind of olden days thingy. (Y) Just realise there is no "Door Close" button haha.
